I love animals and I love to draw so I started creating pet portraits for my friends and family and giving them away as presents. I would tailor the size, background colors, and matte color to match the decor of the home that the piece was going. After a short time I was getting phone calls new customers, asking if I could draw their pet!

I know how personal the love of  an animal can be so I want you to be involved in some of the creative aspect of the piece. Like my friends and family I want your portrait to nestle into your home, and compliment your pet.

About me: 

My name is Jennifer Murphy and I live in Clarkston, Michigan. One of my favorite things to do is walk my dog Cedric on the eleven acres of wood where I live. For a nature lover it’s a little slice of heaven.

I am a graduate of Oakland University where I earned my Bachelor of Arts Degree in English and Minored in Studio Art.

Apart from drawing I enjoy photography, hiking and kayaking. I play the violin, flute and piano, and am in the process of getting my first children’s book published.
